Copyright Infringement Notification

Hikari edu allows authorized agents and copyright owners to file a DMCA notice via the email address dmca@hikari.edu if they feel something is copied or unauthorizedly published on our website. However, when you submit a DMCA notice, you must add the following details to it:

  • You must fully describe the copyrighted work details you believe are infringed by Hikari Edu. To prevent delays, submit the URL of the source.
  • You must add your full contact details, including your name. Also, add your physical or electronic signature to the notice.
  • You must submit two statements, good faith and under penalty of perjury, to support that the content used is unauthorized and that the information is entirely accurate.

How to Submit a DMCA Notice?

As soon as you notice any copyright infringement by Hikari Edu, submit your notice at dmca@hikari.edu with a subject line “DMCA Notice.” You must attach all the imperative details relevant and necessary to take action.

However, please keep in mind that if your notice is not valid or you have not attached the details required, you might not even get a response. So ensure you read the details carefully before you submit a notice.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you feel Hikari edu has mistakenly removed something other than what was requested, you can submit a counter notification. We will review everything in detail and will restore it within seven business days. However, keep in mind that when submitting a counter-notification, you have to add the following things:

  • You must add the identification details of the removed content. You can add its location before removal, any screenshots you have, or other helpful information.
  • You should submit a statement of good faith belief that the content was not removed intentionally, it was an inconvenience, a poor understanding, or technical flaws.
  • You have to show consent with the relevant legal authority in the jurisdiction. You must add full contact details and signatures to ensure everything is professional and legal.

Repeat Infringer Policy

For users who uploaded or shared copyrighted content, Hikari Edu filed three valid DMCA takedown notices. Every takedown notice goes through a valid DMCA process. Hkair edu files the following three notices against repeat infringers:

  • Our first notice is a warning that explains to the user why they should comply with the DMCA and how to protect intellectual property rights.
  • If the user doesn’t take it seriously, we issue a second notice with a temporary suspension of their accounts, including details of strict legal consequences.
  • However, if the user is persistent and ignores all previous notifications, we permanently terminate accounts or contributor privileges.

However, we still leave an option for an appeal. If users feel something is unacceptable, they can appeal with valid details, as Hikari Edu is committed to fair enforcement. Experts will review the application and will respond accordingly.
